Slovenia

Slovenia is a land of great natural beauty and a rich cultural and historical heritage. Slovenes and visitors alike are forever discovering new aspects of the country to explore: high alpine peaks, idyllic lakes, the beautiful coast, the green rolling landscapes, ancient towns, colourful villages, and secluded farms. Slovene tourist farms are oases of peace where city dwellers can spend their vacations in nature and experience the rural way of life. Friendly hosts serve delicious homegrown food and local wines and brandies. The welcoming warmth of the farmhouse stove, the beguiling scent of new-mown hay, or a turn working in the fields and stables will remind you of the age-old link between the Slovene farmer and the land. You will discover how remarkably beautiful and rich life can be far from the noise of the city, and the memories will remain with you forever.

Primorska

Primorska is the world in miniature, the most diverse of Slovenia's regions. It includes the alpine world of the upper reaches of the Soea River, the Kras region with its world-renowned caves and other karst phenomena, and the Adriatic coast. Awesome mountains, the mild Mediterranean climate, the mysterious underworld, noble Lipizzaner horses, air-cured prsut ham, Teran wine, summer adventures by the sea—nowhere else in the world can you find so much variety in such a small area. The Upper Soea region, Kras, the Vipava Valley, and the coast are all well developed for tourism. The tourist farms here offer innumerable intoxicating and relaxing pleasures whose memory will be an unforgettable treasure to brighten the greyest of days.

Stajerska

The name Stajerska conjures up an image of something green, harmonious, and pleasant. Stajerska is an apple, a bottle of fine wine, delicious local dishes, and cheerful people. Wherever you go in Stajerska, you will find natural beauty and an astonishingly rich cultural and historical heritage. The friendly farms of the Upper Savinja Valley, Pohorje, Podravje, Slovenske Gorice, Haloze, and Kozjansko regions offer peace and tranquillity to weary townsfolk. Stajerska is interesting year-round: skiing in winter, excursions in summer, and the grape harvest in autumn. Stajerska brews the best beer and its cellars hold the finest wines. Thermal springs refresh and reinvigorate the traveller, and visits to its many historical sites and cultural events enrich the spirit.

Prekmurje

Prekmurje is the most mysterious region of Slovenia. The exceptional hospitality of its inhabitants will charm you, its thermal spas will restore your health, and the local food will put you back on your feet. Those who enjoy hunting will find game in Prekmurje that is difficult to find nowadays anywhere else in Europe. With their unique architecture and welcoming atmosphere, Prekmurje's farms offer a wonderful mix of Old World hospitality and modern tourist convenience.

Dolenjska

Dolenjska is an enchantingly mellow region; gentleness is characteristic of its folk songs and its people. The marvelous densely forested landscape is dotted with castles and crisscrossed by green rivers and rushing brooks. You will encounter the wit and hospitality of Dolenjska people at every step, and the wealth of excursion destinations and possibilities for sport recreation make choosing difficult. You can choose to visit museums and galleries or take a relaxing walk through the forest to gather mushrooms and other forest fruits. The local Cvieek wine hides all the ancient wisdom of the people of this bewitching region.

Notranjska

It would be hard to find a match for this region anywhere in the world. Wild rivers pour through its underground world of mysterious caverns, reappearing on the surface to sing their song in the untouched forests of this romantic region, and it boasts an extraordinary abundance of wildlife. Its healthy climate, proud people, and rich history have shaped the image of Slovenia and spread its fame worldwide. The tourist farms in Notranjska offer modern man everything he needs most: tranquillity and a genuine contact with nature. Everything here remains as it once was, though tourists will still find all the modern conveniences necessary for a pleasant stay while enjoying the natural attractions of the region.

Bela krajina

If one wanted to sum up Bela krajina in a poetic phrase, perhaps the words "innocent charm" would be appropriate. This hilly region with its characteristic birch groves is like a fairy tale that reminds us of childhood. Bela krajina offers true relaxation, not only for the body but also for the spirit. What riches give this region such a harmonious character? Folk traditions such as the wonderful Bela krajina dances, the delicious homemade food, the superb regional wines? After a relaxing stay on a tourist farm in Bela krajina, visitors return home full of memories that they carry with them like a beautiful dream.

Gorenjska

The mountains, valleys, gorges, and plateaus of Gorenjska draw those who prefer not to spend their holidays in the bustle of a tourist resort but rather seek quieter pursuits among the mountain peaks. Gorenjska and its tourist farms are models of a healthy lifestyle. Breathtaking views stretch into the distance toward the rising sun or the twilight of evening. Tranquil enjoyment or daring mountain adventures await you, roaring waterfalls and smooth peaceful lakes.

From the Skofja Loka hills and the country around Kranj and Jezersko to Bled, Bohinj, and Triglav National Park, the alpine landscape offers numerous opportunities for a healthy holiday. Hiking, climbing, hunting, fishing, riding, golf, winter sports—all these await you in Gorenjska.

Tourism has a long tradition in Gorenjska, something that is immediately apparent on a visit to its tourist farms where you will be delighted by the friendly welcome, the pleasant accommodations, and the delicious homemade food.

Koroska

With its forests and mountains, Koroska is a real paradise for those who value peace and quiet and the kind of holiday city folk so badly need. Koroska is a region with a long and rich cultural tradition and history. There is plenty to do both winter and summer. The ski slopes and cross-country trails provide a genuine taste of unspoiled nature in winter. In summer, countless marked trails and paths wind from summit to summit where visitors can marvel at the magnificent views or collect the fruits of the forest, an experience to refresh the spirit and images that will long remain in the album of memory.

What could be more pleasant than a stay in one of the region's beautiful valleys such as Meziska, Mislinjska, or Drava? The tourist farms around Sentanel give the impression of living in a bygone age, though naturally with a flavour of the present.
